I 've already sailing in hyeres. It 's great spot. In fact there are 2-3 spots within 5 kilometers.
Hyeres : at the fun center handle by Erik thiémé, a french retiree windusurfer. Good spot when mistral is blowing, but many people and not enough car park.
La madrague, a spot along the salt way "la route du sel". A road link between hyères and the penisula. My favorite one's. 3-4 carpark (you must have a car less than 2 meter height), lots of people, very good by mistral. Little waves and very choppy conditions. Sometimes 150 windsurfers...Kiting is not allowed all along the year. there is indications to respect. May be dangerous by mistral for you and the others because On-shore and very gusty.
La bergerie, in front of "la madrague", the other side of the "route du sel". Very good by east winds, but very little car park and many bathers. Little good waves.
La londe. A small town near hyeres, I recommand this spot for kiting because on 90% blowing winds you wil be on side-shore conditions. For kiting ask the hyeres Kite association (HKA) to have good tips.
In conclusion very good spots .....but many many people, and sometimes sessions are broken because you search too much for a place of car. I recommend june and september, the best choice for degres, wind and people.
