Don't expect any objectivity on this forum. Tabou boards have french roots so most advises you'll get here will be biased. wink.gif

The only neutral person you'll get on this forum is me, a lost Canadian in this sea of blue-white-red. wink.gif wink.gif

Tabou boards are designed by Fabien Vollenwieder, probably one of the best (if not the best) board shaper in the world. He was the shaper for Bic (and Tiga) from the Saxo-Vivace (1996) era until lately (2004). He designed a lot of classics, the Techno being one of them.

Tabou boards was Fabien's own company before he joined Bic. He continued shaping Tabou boards (wave shapes) with Bic, but for some reason, the Tabou line was poorly distributed by Bic, at least in north america. I own 2 Tabou boards from that era (a 2002 Mad Cow and a 2004 Curve) and I had to import them from France.

Now, Tabou is back on it's own and is associated with some very agressive (market wise) german distributor.

I am sure that Tabou boards will dominate the market in 3 or 4 years at the most.

If you have a Tabou in mind, sleep in peace, it'a great idea!

Tabou in French means something we don't want to talk about (TAlk aBOUt),that's why you will not find so much answers and the reason why people let the brand talk by itself. It's just good so,no? Bye,Cyrille.
