Windurf interdit à Kanaha Beach Park ?

Si on parlait de windsurf au lieu de parler de trucs qui n'ont rien à voir, genre l'écologie, les écotaxes, apple et autres...<br /><br />

Si Kanaha est interdit en entier, c'est dramatique pour nombre de pratiquants à Maui, c'est un des seuls vrais spots de slalom/freeride du north shore ??

les windsurfers de Kanaha ne lacheront pas. Pour eux, c'est THE PLACE ... et c'est 200 nav par an.

et pi, les Maui Races de Kanaha, c'est une institution

Surtout tous les vieux navigueront où... Ca me parait tellement inconcevable qu'ils ferment ce spot. Ca me parait autant mythique que hookipa...

"This all came about when a family complained about kiters coming into a swimming area. The kiters said they need this particular area to launch during certain wind conditions. I'm sure this is true. But, the kiters, instead of doing the right thing and trying to work it out with the swimmers, or working with the authorities to get the swimming area moved, foolishly escalated things by making it personal between them and the family. Apparently there were threats, swearing, name calling, near fights, and vandalism (the family car's tires were punctured by someone).


In contrast to this, for years windsurfers have helped maintain the buoys and lines marking the swimming area roped off near where the lifeguard station used to be. And, at times when the lines were down we let tourists know to stay out of these areas. Unfortunately the kiters don't seem to know that they and we won't get what we want by antagonizing others.


The state has now posted signs declaring some areas to be swimming areas based on laws that go back decades. This means nobody can legally launch there or come in there (especially bad if one has a break down or the wind drops).


Now we're forced to do what the kiters should have done at the start: work with the authorities to recognize the need for us to have shoreline access in particular areas, and that swimming areas can be moved to areas that don't interfere with windsport access."

Comme quoi le problème ne se pose pas que chez nous...


Après ce qui est toujours drôle c'est de voir l'indignation à géométrie variable :


On s’indigne quand les autorités ne sanctionnent pas les kite et on s'indigne quand elles sanctionnent les windsurfeurs

C'est vrai que c'est tout a fait normal de sanctionner les windsurfers pour des conneries faites par les kiteux...

Faut bien être conscients qu'on est considérés comme "les usagers des sports nautiques"... Donc quand ya un surfeur, un windsurfeur ou un kiteur qui fait une connerie, tout le monde prend.


Même si le kite entraine un danger spécifique, notamment à terre, on sera toujours considérés comme une communauté, qu'on le veuille ou non.


C'est aux autorités de prendre leurs responsabilités pour délimiter les zones de navigation, et aux usagers d'y cohabiter.

C'est deja delimité : windsurfers au vent, zone de baignade, kites sous le vent.


Je comprend meme pas comment les kiteux peuvent justifier d'emmerder les baigneurs.. Sauf peut etre par kona..

Ha excuse j'ai pas tout compris alors, c'est quoi le souci ? Des kites qui empiètent sur la zone de baignade ?
