http://new.ikitesurf.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=24033&sid=369f728cab626f32117e1b10f6ac9db5&start=19Hello, I am the father of the 4 year old that has been threatened, harassed and injured by the kitesurfers at Ka'a Point - Steve Sadler, the Maui Kitesurfing Community spokesperson/director cam over to my son and called him every obscene and vulgar name available - to my 4 year old son! Steve was obviously trying to provoke me into a physical confrontation.
From the very first incident back in April the kitesurfers at Ka'a will not be open to discuss - when my wife asked the kitesurfer why he had to come into the pond with children swimming in it the kitesurfer responded that "you're crazy lady, do you know what these kite string would do to a 4 year old" - my wife obviously was taken back and asked why the kids should have to move out of a designated swim only zone - the kitesurfer responded "well maybe you need to move too" -
When my son had a kite land on him in the pond and the string hit his face leaving a long red welt - we called the DLNR. After the DLNR left 6 local kitesurfers came over to try and intimidate me - the next day these same 6 kitesurfers were at Ka'a point and my tire was punctured with a knife to the sidewall.
I never meant for this to be such an issue, we just asked that the kiters use common sense when swimmers were present - the kiters have responded with slander and name calling at us - the kitesurfers that live on Maui are the ones responsible, not the tourists or visitors that the MKC is trying to place blame on -
Toby from the other site would not allow us to post to his forum as I think the facts and truth were too much for him to handle -
I thank ikitesurf for allowing me to do so.

Intéressant ce lien, j'aime bien avoir le point de vue des kiters, entre autres "sadler":
"Maui has many beautiful beaches to enjoy. If you hate kiters so much, why hang out 70 hrs a week, camera ready, at this popular kiting beach, that you claim is so dangerous for son?"
Que je traduis:
"Maui a plusieurs belles plages accessibles. Si tu détestes tant les kiters, pourquoi passes-tu 7 heures par semaine, caméra à la main, à cette plage populaire de kite, que tu considères très dangereuse pour ton fils?"
Le sujet a vite été fermé, dommage, j'aurais aimé avoir d'autres réactions de kiters. Faut dire qu'ils ont la zachage facile sur les forums de "iwindsurf/ikitesurf".
